I’m Steph the creative mind behind Dear Charlie. Let me tell you a bit about myself - I’ve been working in the design industry for over ten years since I was sixteen, and I graduated from De Montfort University with a BA in Graphic Design. I’m passionate about creating unique and memorable designs that help businesses stand out from the crowd.

If you know that you will need design services throughout the year, but don’t want to hire a full-time designer, my retainer program is for you.
You get a discounted rate compared to my normal hourly rate and a la carte rates.

A retainer fee is like a monthly design fee. It is paid up front each month before work is ordered. Essentially, you are paying for time versus a specific service. Based on the retainer package you select, I will block out my schedule with the appropriate amount of hours each month and plan my workload accordingly. You have peace of mind knowing that you will receive a pre-established amount of work each month, without having to worry about what other client projects are ahead of you.

These versatile services can cater to various needs, including Graphic Design Services (print, social media, and packaging), Website Design (blog uploads, product creation, maintenance), and Marketing Advice (social media strategy). However, please note that it does not encompass packages such as Brand Strategy, Brand Identity creation, or complete Website Creation.
At Dear Charlie, we recognize the importance of flexibility in business. Due to this, we offer complete flexibility in our retainer service, and we do not require a minimum number of months in advance.
We charge a set amount for each retainer. Overtime in hours each week will be billed at the standard hourly rate £67. However, if you require fewer or more hours, we are always happy to tailor a package that best fits your needs. Unused hours expire at the end of each week. This is to ensure that I can allocate time for your projects each week and plan my workload accordingly. You will get an invoice on the first day of each month. Invoice will include the monthly retainer rate for that month and any additional charges from previous month should you wish to continue with the service.
